Following the continued success of its Cavern stage, Soundstage One has designed a new smaller version.
The SHELPOD stage has the same unique and stylish appearance of the larger Cavern stage but is designed to suit outdoor events that do not require such a spacious performance space.
The SHELPOD can provide a fully covered performance space of 10 metres wide, 7 metres or 10 metres depth with a choice of floor heights.
There has been considerable interest by clients to use the SHELPOD stage not only on its own but also to compliment the Cavern stage as a second stage or front of house structure.
The unique curved cantilever roof structure has been imported from Canada and is the only one of its kind in the U.K. Just like its big brother the SHELPOD not only draws attention because of it is stylish appearance but, because of the type of structure, it provides a practical outdoor stage solution that also stands out favorably in terms of build time and price compared to other stages of the same size.
The SHELPOD has a backstage access door which can be fitted with either stairs or ramp access, a stage drape can be suspended to enclose the entrance from audience view if required. Lighting can also be suspended from the front arch of the stage roof.
As you would expect the SHELPOD stage has been designed with safety in mind it has a wind speed rating of 80mph and because of the roof design, no climbing or lifting machinery is required.
