Who are we?

John Collen is a former broadcast engineer and producer with an extensive background working as a sound and light engineer and production manager in theatre, concert environments and nightclubs.  In 1995 he formed Soundstage One and started designing, developing and acquiring a range of suitable equipment to provide effective production services for all types of event.

Soundstage One now have an extensive first class range of high quality equipment available that is  operated by a select team of multi skilled engineers and specialist event staff, who make the organising and running of your event as easy and as stress and problem free as possible.

What do we do?

Soundstage One offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor staging, sound, lighting, onsite PA systems, video facilities, power supply and distribution solutions, site cabins, pit barriers, event management services and noise monitoring and control.  Equipment can either be as stand alone items, delivered, set up and installed or we can design a suitable package of items and services to provide you with a simple event production solution which meets your full requirements.

Who can we do it for?

Soundstage One provide services to event organisers of small events such as instore promotions, fashion shows, company meetings and themed events through to large conferences, trade fairs and country shows, through to gigantic rock concerts and festivals.

Well the simple answer and the one you would expect is YES!.  Over the past 10 years Soundstage One has established a firm foundation of regular annual clients and invested heavily in our wide selection of quality equipment and developed a highly skilled team of professional, reliable and qualified staff.  Completing any task well is reliant on good planning.  Our production coordinators spend a great deal of time working with and for you ensuring each job is thoroughly investigated and all elements of the production are prepared for and event staff well briefed so that in the preparation and during the actual event everything happens when it should, resulting in successful events every time with no problems.

We believe a large part of being a professional organisation should be reflected in our commitment and responsibility to health and safety.  Soundstage One is part of the National Britannia Health and Safety accreditation scheme and are full members of the Outdoor Events Association.

How much does it cost?

Each job is given the personal attention of our event coordinators, as no to jobs are the same we cost each job on its exact specification, it is normal practice in most cases for one of our event coordinators to make a site survey, this process ensures that we can offer you an exact quotation that will satisfy your requirements and give you the reassurance that there will be no hidden extras.

We do offer some basic standard packages that include a stage with a standard sound and lighting package, these are geared towards straightforward events, within the cost there is allowances for staff and transport this means the stage and equipment can be adjusted to suit any specific requirements.
